One of the most frequently asked questions we get here at the dairy is “What new flavours are you guys bringing out this year?” The possibilities are almost endless and that makes it really tough to decide what to make, based on which choices will delight the most number of people. Another thing we try to do, whenever possible, is to respond to what our customers have been asking for. Having said all that, here’s what we’ve added to the lineup for 2012!
Roly Poly:People have been asking us for a flavour that combined a distinct toffee flavour and the irresistible pull of caramel and chocolate. We think we’ve nailed it and judging from early feedback, Roly Poly delivers! You can get it by the cone, dish or handpacked at our Kawartha Dairy stores and also at the many scoop shops across Ontario that serve our ice cream.
Raspberry Swirl:Early last year, we announced that we would be discontinuing one of our oldest flavours, Raspberry Ripple. The decision to stop producing any flavour is not taken lightly, and no matter what the sales of a particular discontinued flavour are, we hear from the people for whom the doomed flavour was “their favourite”. However, we weren’t prepared for the outcry when we decided to quit producing Raspberry Ripple….loud and clear, people emailed, phoned, and told us in person how upset they were. We listened. We discussed it. We decided to bring back a raspberry flavour that we’re confident will delight all the raspberry fans out there. True to the heritage of Raspberry Ripple, we have not overloaded it with extra “stuff”, relying instead on the simple classic taste of our timeless vanilla ice cream paired with what we believe is a better raspberry swirl. Fans of Raspberry Ripple told us in no uncertain terms that what they loved most about the flavour was its simplicity and refreshing raspberry taste. It’s available by the cone, dish, or handpacked at our Kawartha Dairy stores and also at the many scoop shops across Ontario that serve our ice cream. We hope it meets your expectations and would love to hear what you think of it!
